Nourishment & Community

The Sanctuary Cafe

Good coffee, honest food, and a seat that invites you to stay a little longer. Grown from the garden, served with care, shared at a table that has room for everyone.

Our Philosophy

Food as Part
of the Healing

The Sanctuary Cafe is not just where you eat โ€” it is part of how you heal. Nourishment, in our view, is not separate from rest, prayer, or creativity. It is woven into all of them.

The Cafe operates from House 3, with indoor seating and an outdoor garden table in warm weather. Wherever possible, ingredients come directly from the Sanctuary's own food forests โ€” herbs, vegetables, and seasonal produce grown steps away from your cup.

Locals are welcome. Day visitors are welcome. The Cafe is one of the places where the Sanctuary opens to the wider island community, and we are grateful for that exchange.

The Food Forest
Connection

Every Sanctuary property has a growing food forest โ€” and the cafe is one of its primary beneficiaries. Herbs for infusions, vegetables for seasonal dishes, fruit for baking, and flowers for the table: the Cafe changes with the seasons because the land does too.

When you eat here, you are eating something that was grown in this soil, tended by this community, and offered with genuine care. That lineage matters to us โ€” and we think you can taste it.
